Overview

Jobara AI ("Jobara", "we", "us") helps you discover jobs, prepare tailored application materials, and apply with your approval. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), timezone, and sign-in method (email or Google).
  • Profile and career data: resume uploads, parsed career details you confirm, job preferences, and saved answers.
  • Application activity: job matches, generated resumes and cover letters, application status, submission proof, and related notes.
  • Billing data: subscription plan, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, invoices, and payment status. Card numbers are processed by Stripe — we do not store full payment card details.
  • Support and communications: support tickets, email delivery metadata, and optional product notifications.
  • Technical data: session identifiers, security logs, and limited usage analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

  • Provide job discovery, scoring, and tailored document generation.
  • Help you review, approve, and track applications you choose to submit.
  • Process subscriptions and send billing-related messages.
  • Respond to support requests and send service notifications you expect.
  • Protect accounts, detect abuse, and maintain audit logs for security.
  • Improve reliability and product quality using aggregated operational data.

Untrusted content

Job descriptions, company pages, uploaded resumes, and user-provided answers are treated as untrusted input. They may contain inaccurate, misleading, or harmful content. Jobara does not execute instructions embedded in this content and presents generated output for your review before use.

Service providers

We use trusted processors to run Jobara, including:

  • Stripe for payments and subscription management.
  • Cloud hosting and database providers for application infrastructure.
  • Email delivery providers for transactional messages.
  • Object storage for resumes, generated documents, and submission proof.
  • Optional error monitoring when enabled in production.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service and are bound by their own terms and security obligations.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not auto-submit applications without your explicit approval.
  • We do not enable LinkedIn or Indeed credential-based automation without separate legal approval and updated terms.

Retention and deletion

We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account from Privacy settings (or an admin processes an approved deletion request), we:

  • Cancel active subscriptions according to billing policy.
  • Revoke active sessions.
  • Remove or anonymize personal profile information.
  • Delete stored resumes, generated documents, and submission files.
  • Retain only billing and audit records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your choices

  • Download your data from Settings → Privacy.
  • Delete uploaded files and revoke sessions from Privacy settings.
  • Opt out of marketing email where offered.
  • Delete your account from Privacy settings or by contacting support.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based admin access, and audited deletion workflows. No online service can guarantee absolute security; report concerns through support.

Children

Jobara is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
